Movies reach large audiences at the same time, which can transform the future. There are severe issues facing our world which must be addressed.
These themes: Planet, Justice, and Democracy, are the most important issues of our day. Told in stories, instead of learning ‘the facts’ in ginormous lecture halls, movies can provide both entertainment and learning, not just learning but nothing less than social change. Movies are that powerful!
Movies expand and enlarge our understanding of the world. Movies are tools which influence and shape our perceptions of our cultural past, present, and future. But on the way, have a laugh, have a tear, have an insight, have a beer. It’s a movie!
Movies were chosen as the medium for all these reasons and more. Movies should make a profit, therefore these screenplays are written with an eye toward profit.
